Hello!
I’m not very good at writing these pages, so suffice to say my vital statistics are;
Age: 36
Married: Yes – to Michelle
Kids: Yes – 2 daughters aged 9 and 5.
In my spare time when I’m not working or being a husband/daddy I do:
Cycling, Scuba Diving, Freediving, Finswimming,Surfing and Snowboarding
I’m also into Photography (although with all the above it’s fitting it all in).
I do like geeky things (I have a couple of Apple machines) and I do things like being one of the hosts of a broadband quality monitoring router for Samknows/Ofcom at home. When I’m not outdoors, I tend to like movies, music and occasionally a little bit of Xbox, although I tend to use it more for Video on Demand than playing games.
Professionally, I started my working life as an IT lackey in the Financial Services / Stockbroking industry before contracting for a while, then moving to Mobile Telecoms and now, for my sins, I’m working in Printing. My current specialist skills are IT Comms / Networking (Cisco / TCP/IP) along with having managed systems and a bit of Unix in the past.
I suffer from Bipolar II disorder which means I’m either out doing all the above or else feeling like I’m on the edge of a precipice about to jump off. It’s a difficult thing to come to terms with but I’m trying to control it without having to use medication. There’s an interesting article about Bipolarity in The Times. Thankfully I suffer from hypomania and not full blown mania, although the depression is fairly bad.
