We get lots of blackbirds in the garden every day. However, this morning there were a pair of birds we’ve never seen before. Further identification showed they were Fieldfares, which seem to be early this year – maybe it’s because of the hard winter they’re having in mainland europe. They seem to be quite aggressive to the blackbirds. (Click the images for bigger ones).

And a couple of normal blackbirds for good measure.
